Hopes for the new year? I don’t know where to start! I always have lots of plans – but I’ve noticed that often times God will look at my plans and say, “Okay, but I have a better idea…”
For what my plans are worth, I plan on starting to earn my bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) in the very near future. Having a BSN makes an RN very marketable, and it comes with a pay raise, or so the rumors go. It will take a while, but I’m told that it’s worth it in the end – more pretty letters to add after my name!
I would like to finally finish my read-through-the-Bible-in-a-year plan, something that I have attempted for years now but never finished. I get behind, and then I never get around to catching up. Maybe I could do my daily reading during my lunch break at work?
I would like to get down to my goal weight of *** (censored 🙂 I’m not overweight, but when one is short of frame, a few extra pounds can make a difference. Plus, I just want to be healthy. Working night shift can wreak havoc with one’s health, and I would like to start fighting back. I’m simply tired of feeling blah all the time.
There are so many more things that I have planned, but as I said in last year’s post a few minutes ago (I love saying that!), God has been asking me to trust Him with the details of my life. He has proven faithful every time, and so I am certain that He’s got something special in store for this next year.
Y’all have a happy new year!
